Day 1 / February 9, 2023 / Thursday ISTANBUL – BOGOTA
Meeting at 07:00 in the morning at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After the ticket, baggage and passport procedures, departure to Bogota with Turkish Airlines flight TK 801 and arrival in Bogota at 15:40 local time after a 13 hour and 45 minute direct flight. Transfer to our hotel by our private bus. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 / 10 February 2023 / Friday BOGOTA, COLOMBIA
After breakfast at our hotel, we start exploring Bogota all day long. Today we will visit the Gold Museum, Fernando Botero Museum and the Monserreate Hills, and visit the Gold Museum (Museo del Oro) where approximately 34,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic gold and more than 25,000 Pre-Columbian objects will be found. Then we will visit Casa de la Moneda and Donacion Botero, where Colombian artist Fernando Botero’s artworks are exhibited using different artistic techniques such as painting, drawing and sculpture. Our tour will continue with a visit to La Catedral Primada, La Casa de Narino, Lievano Palace and Palace of Justice in Plaza de Bolivar Square. Our tour will end after a delicious lunch on the Monserrate Hill tour that we will go in the afternoon. Our dinner is at a stylish local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 / 11 February 2023 / Saturday BOGOTA – LIMA, PERU
We leave our hotel early and go to the airport for the flight to Lima. After our flight, we start our Lima City Tour, the city of kings, following our arrival in Lima. The historical center of Lima, the heritage of UNESCO’s humanity, is full of stories from the past… We will visit its streets, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Government Palace and the Plaza Mayor, and visit the St.Dominic’s and St.Francis Catholic Church. In addition, the city’s must-see Lima Post Office and Larco Museum will be places we will explore. We will have our lunch at the museum’s restaurant, Cafe del Museo. On the way back to our hotel in the afternoon, we will visit San Isidro and Miraflores districts. Two impressive archaeological gems are hidden among the tall buildings and houses in this area. Huaca Huallamarca and Huaca Pucllana Pyramids… After our visit, we will take a short break in Love Park, one of the iconic spots of Lima, thanks to the statue of a kissing couple made by Victor Delfin and Gaudi Style benches. This is the perfect place to enjoy panoramic views of Lima Bay, Barranco and Chorrillos Districts. Our dinner is at a private restaurant by the ocean. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 4 / 12 February 2023 / Sunday LIMA, PERU
After breakfast at our hotel, another wonderful day awaits us. In the tour we will organize all day long, accompanied by Mr. Saffet Emre Tonguç; We will explore all the historical and touristic places of Lima. Our lunch and dinner are in a private restaurant. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 5 / 13 February 2023 / Monday LIMA – CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY
After breakfast, we take our private bus to the airport and fly to Cusco with a direct flight. Following our arrival, our journey to the Sacred Valley begins. Our first stop will be the newly built Pisac Market, where we can buy local souvenirs including silver, alpaca clothing and other craft items. Later, we will stop at Yucay Cultural Center to see the display of local handicrafts as well as llamas and alpacas. We will drive all the way to Ollantaytambo to enjoy a traditional Pachamanca for lunch. Pachamanca is a special occasion in the Andean tradition where families come together and thank the land for the food it provides us. We invite you to participate in this experience as you wander through our organic garden where it all began, to witness the burial and cooking of food and learn about the history of this Ancestral lunch. You can enjoy meats such as lamb and chicken, as well as a variety of tubers and fresh organic vegetable salads. This experience also includes visiting the Café Mayu Coffee Monastery and the Andean Distillery. After lunch we will visit the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site and then drive to our hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 6 / 14 February 2023 / Tuesday SACRED VALLEY – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
We take our breakfast at our hotel and leave. While our luggage is transferred to our hotel in Cusco, where we will stay tonight, we will go to Rio Sagrado Train Station to take the Belmond Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu. Welcome drink and traditional dances at the station will herald a great day of adventure. You can enjoy live music and lunch with the movement of our train. After our train journey that will last for 3 hours, we will make another half-hour journey with the buses reserved for us and arrive at Machu Picchu. The Lost City of the Incas tour, accompanied by Saffet Emre Tonguç and a local guide, will take approximately 2.5 hours. Then, enjoy a tea time at the Sanctuary Lodge next to the Machu Picchu entrance. Dinner with live music on our train while returning to Rio Sagrado by Belmond Hiram Bingham Train in the evening. Transfer to Cusco and overnight at our hotel.
Day 7 / 15 February 2023 / Wednesday CUSCO
After breakfast, we will take a private tour of Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park to visit Sacsayhuaman with its impressive stone walls, Qenqo with its hidden stone altar, Tambomachay Fountains and Puca Pucara. Following our return to Cusco, we take our lunch at a local restaurant and start our Cusco Tour. To enjoy panoramic views of the city, first St. St. Christopher’s Square, where you will discover local flavors, smells and colours. We continue to Peter’s Market. The Qorikancha Temple, which we will visit in the afternoon, will open its doors and invite us to imagine what it once looked like covered in gold. Qorikancha means “Golden Guard” in Quechua and still retains much of its past glory. On this day, when we will be in an intense state of exploration all day, St. We will also visit the Church of Dominique and San Blas, a district of local craftsmen. You will walk down Hatun Rumiyoc Street, along the way you will see the Inca Roca Palace (now home to the Archbishop’s Palace) and admire the famous 12 angled stones. Day 8 / February 16, 2023 / Thursday CUSCO – PUNO
After breakfast and check-out at our hotel, we go to Puno by our private bus. On the way, we will visit Andahuaylillas, Wiracocha God’s Temple Racchi, which are the attractions this beautiful route has to offer, have our lunch and then visit La Raya and Pucara Museum, which is a natural border between Puno and Cusco. After our arrival in Puno in the afternoon, check-in at our hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 / 17 February 2023 / Friday PUNO – LA SUN
We take our breakfast at our hotel and leave for our trip to La Paz. We are going to the Copacabana Conservation Area with an early journey (we will cross the Bolivian border in Kasani). At Copacabana Harbor, we board the Catamaran cruise ship to go to Sun Island, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the Inca Garden, Stairs, and Fountain on this legendary island, and with the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, which includes two underground Museums of Archeology and Anthropology, Traditional Medicine and Titicaca Reed Shipbuilders’ Display Centres, Pachamama Agriculture Inca Terraces, Handicrafts Exhibition, Intica Lounge, and several museums. We continue. The Inti Wata Complex is the main private tourist attraction in Bolivia and is open to Catamaran Cruise Ship guests only and includes a unique sailing experience on a massive Titicaca traditional reed ship for a panoramic visit to the Pil Kokaina Inca Palace. We will then take the Catamaran cruise again to sail while enjoying the buffet lunch. During this trip, admire the breathtaking Andes Mountains on the Bolivian side of the lake. In the afternoon, when the Catamaran Cruise arrives at Chua Port, we will sail to the city of La Paz by land. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 / 18 February 2023 / Saturday LA SUN
This morning we visit the Tiwanaku Archaeological Site, the capital of an ancient civilization, located 72 km from the city of La Paz and on the southeast shores of Lake Titicaca. At its height, the capital of Tiwanaku was the largest in the world and considered the Cradle of all American Civilizations. These pre-Inca ruins have sparked endless archaeological controversy. The latest radiocarbon 14 tests show that these arrangements date back to 1580 BC. In this breathtaking ancient city, we will visit the Kalasasaya (Sun) Temple, the Semi-Underground (Earth) Temple, the Akapana Pyramid and the legendary Sun Gate. Our tour also takes us to the museum, which is full of ceramic objects and tools from civilizations before the Incas. We have our lunch at a local restaurant and return to La Paz for a private City Tour. We visit Jaen Colonial Street, one of the best preserved colonial streets in the city, and continue to Plaza Murillo, where the Cathedral, Government House and National Congress buildings are located. Later, a walk in the Witches Market will take us to the secret world of Andean mysticism. Then we will visit the Rodriguez Local Market, the largest food market in La Paz, and photograph the variety of products and the clothes of the local women who sell them. A must-see in La Paz is to take a Ropeway ride to visit the magnificent Moon Valley with its bizarre geological formations, to enjoy the stunning views and finish the tour. Day 11 / February 19, 2023 / Sunday LA SUN – BOGOTA
We take our breakfast at our hotel in the early hours and go to the airport for the flight to Bogota. Following our flight and arrival in Bogota, we start our Zipaquira and Salt Cathedral Tour with lunch. One of the greatest works of Colombian engineering is La Catedralde Sal de Zipaquirá, nationally held as the first Colombian Wonder and internationally rated excellent in its category. The splendor of this mine lies in its construction, which is accomplished through the use of its tunnels representing the fourteen stations of the way of the cross, the Nartex, the choir, and the beautiful nave among others. We will start our tour from the north of the city, where we will pass through the towns of Chía and Cajicá, where we will enjoy the beautiful countryside of the Cundiboyacense Plateau, and arrive in Zipaquirá, where we will visit the park of this touristic municipality. We will visit the Salt Cathedral, which is the attraction of this region, where we will enjoy a way that brings culture together beyond a religious tour. After our tour, we will have lunch at a private family restaurant and settle into our hotel for the evening. Our dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 12 / 20 February 2023 / Monday BOGOTA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, free time and shopping opportunity. Meeting at our hotel at noon and transfer to Bogota Airport. Following the customs, ticket and passport procedures, Turkish Airlines flight TK 801 will depart for Istanbul at 17:05 and overnight on the plane.
