Day 1 / 1 April 2024 Istanbul – Haneda
Meeting at Istanbul Airport International Terminal at 23:45 (31 March / Sunday evening). Following the ticket, baggage and passport procedures, departure to Haneda at 02:20 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 198 and after our arrival at 19:25 local time, transfer to Tokyo by our private vehicle and settle in our hotel. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 2 / April 2, 2024 Narita – Tokyo
After breakfast at our hotel, we start our tour and first visit the Meiji Temple, which is dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken, in the forest area consisting of 365 different types of trees. Around the temple, we will see many amulets that are believed to expel evil spirits and bring health, love and happiness. Following the photo break we will give here, we will visit Harajuku, which stands out with its vintage clothing and cosplay shops, and after the free time we will have here, we will have our lunch. At the end of the tour, we transfer to our hotel to rest. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 3 / April 3, 2024 Tokyo
After breakfast, we leave the hotel for our Tokyo city tour. We start our tour by passing through Shibuya, where the story of Hochiko, who waits at the Shibuya subway station every day, is lived until he dies because of his loyalty to his owner. Following our tour here, we head towards Yoyogi Park, one of the largest parks in Japan, which we can call ‘Central Park’, where we can see many different activities from jugglers to comedians, from Latin dances to cosplayers.
Day 4 / April 4, 2024 Tokyo
After breakfast, we go to Akihabara, which is famous for its electronics stores and has many stores for anime and manga. Then we will have a pleasant walking tour in the Giza region. After our tour, free time to experience the city as you wish and to shop. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 5 / April 5, 2024 Tokyo – Mount Fuji – Oshino Hakkai – Kyoto
After our breakfast in the morning, we leave the hotel by making our check-out process. Since our luggage will be sent to Kyoto by our private bus so that we can move comfortably on the train journeys, we kindly ask you to take a small bag with you to carry the necessary items. With a pleasant 2-hour journey, we will go to the Sacred Fuji, which is the highest mountain of Japan with a height of 3,776 meters, which is considered sacred by the Japanese people since ancient times and depicted in Hokusai’s famous Great wave. We will go to Oshino Hakkai, a traditional Japanese village, which is one of the places where we can see this majestic mountain best. We will visit the village of Oshino Hakkai and enjoy the unique view of Mount Fuji with its thatched-roofed houses, which are widely used by the local people, its lush nature, old streets, and the open-air museum where samurai weapons are exhibited and the historical water mill. At the end of the tour, we will also go to Kawaguchiko Lake, the second largest of the 5 lakes around Mount Fuji, where we will have the chance to see Mount Fuji more closely during our tour by boat. We will have our lunch during the tours. After exploring Mount Fuji, we will go to Odawara and take the high-speed train to go to Kyoto. After our 2 hour train journey, we are in Kyoto. Upon our arrival, we will have our dinner accompanied by traditional Japanese dances performed by Japanese dancers called maiko. After our meal, we return to our hotel after a pleasant walking tour. Day 6 / 6 April 2024 Kyoto
After breakfast, we start our Kyoto city tour. Kyoto, the beautiful and spiritual old capital city where Japan is most faithful to its traditions, is also one of the rare places where we can see the people walking around in traditional clothes. During our city tour, you can visit the Kiyomizu Temple (from the outside), built in the 15th century, with the sacred waters of the Otawa waterfall, which symbolizes knowledge, health and longevity, and the giant red and white Niomon gate, which is home to many beliefs (from the outside), built in 1603. The main defense part with the five-storey castle, which was destroyed by fire in the 18th century and used as an imperial palace for a while, the second part including the Ninomura Palace and its garden surrounded by many different types of trees such as cherry, plum, maple, ginkgo. We will visit the Nijo Castle Complex, which consists of three parts and was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1994. We will visit the Golden Pavilion Kinkakuji, a zen temple on the top two floors completely covered with gold leaf, each floor built in a different architectural style, overlooking a large pond. At the end of the tour, we will participate in the traditional tea ceremony with Kimono clothes, which can be worn by both women and men, with traditional long clothes. We have our lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Following our tour, we transfer to our hotel. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 7 / 7 April 2024 Kyoto – Hiroshima – Miyajima – Kobe
After breakfast, we will transfer to the train station to go to Hiroshima. After our journey by Shinkansen (high-speed train), which will take about two hours, we will continue with the II. We will visit the Peace Memorial Park, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, exceeding 120,000 square meters in Hiroshima, which was the political and commercial heart of the city before this event, where the USA dropped the first atomic bomb and destroyed 70 percent of it during World War II. The main facility of the park is the Peace Memorial Museum. Consisting of two buildings, the museum explores the history of Hiroshima and the arrival of the nuclear bomb. There is an arched mausoleum for those who died in the region due to the first explosion and radiation. Under the arch there is a stone chest with more than 220,000 records of these names. We will have our lunch at a local restaurant during our tour. After the meal, we can see the Tori Gate, which is considered as one of the most beautiful sights of the country and is considered to be one of the most beautiful sights in the country, and Itsukushima, the temple whose main building is built on water, like the Tori gate. We will go to Miyajima Island which means ‘temple island’. Following the end of the tour, we will move to Kobe with the Shinkansen, Japan’s high-speed train at 240-320 km/h. Upon our arrival in Kobe, we will transfer to our hotel to rest. Dinner and accomodation in our hotel.
Day 8 / April 8, 2024 Kobe – Nara – Osaka
After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we leave our hotel to explore Kobe. During our Kobe city tour, we saw Meriken Park, which is covered with open courtyards dotted with a collection of modern art installations and fountains in Kobe’s harbor area, and houses a memorial to those who died in the devastating earthquake of 1994, also located within the park area, a dramatic landscape that is intended to evoke the image of a sail. To the west of the Maritime Museum with a 100-meter-high viewing terrace, built in 1963, is the Maritime Museum, which is covered with a white frame and exhibits historical boats and modern ship models. We will visit the Kobe Harbor Tower, a unique red painted steel structure that has become the symbol of the port and city. At the end of the tour, we will have lunch and go to Nara, one of the ancient capitals of Japan and also the cradle of Japanese arts, crafts, literature, culture and industry in history. The famous temple Todaiji, the world’s largest wooden building and also home to one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in Japan, built in 752 as the chief temple of all Buddhist temples in Japan, dedicated to the god responsible for the protection of the city of Nara, donated by worshipers We will visit the Great Kasuga Temple, one of the most famous temples of Nara, known for its bronze and stone lanterns. Then we will drive to Osaka. After having our dinner at a local restaurant, we will go to our hotel to rest. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 9 / April 9, 2024 Osaka – Istanbul
After breakfast we will explore Osaka. Osaka is traditionally regarded as the “Cuisine of the Nation” or the gourmet food capital of Japan. Osaka simply means “Big Hill” or “Great Slope”. Before leaving the city, Tokugawa was built by ‘Toyotomi Hideyoshi’, who ruled Japan between 1585 and 1598 and ensured national unity, to be the center of Japan and was the largest castle of that period, with an average of 100,000 workers working in its construction, but after Hideyoshi’s death, Tokugawa We will visit the garden of Osaka Castle, which was destroyed by the troops and rebuilt in the 1620s and completely modernized after its last restoration. After the photo break we will give here, we will have our lunch. After our lunch, you can explore the city as you wish until the airport transfer time. We meet at the time to be determined by our guide and our transfer to the airport takes place. After check-in, departure for Istanbul at 21:50 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 87. Overnight on the plane.
