Lapland, located in the north of Finland, is the country’s largest region. It is located in the northeast of the Baltic Sea, above the Arctic Circle. Northern Lights, known for its reindeer and husky dogs, is also one of the destinations that has increased in popularity recently. Lapland can be quite cold due to its proximity to the poles, but due to its dry climate, it does not feel as painfully cold as in humid regions.
Day 1 / 6 March 2023 / Monday ISTANBUL – ROVANIEMI
Following our arrival in Rovaniemi, we meet our local guide at the airport and transfer to Igloo Hotel. We settle into our rooms and end our first day with a “Welcome Dinner” at our hotel.
Day 2 / 7 March 2023 / Tuesday ROVANIEMI – KEMI – ROVANIEMI
Journey Through the Glaciers with the Icebreaker Ship
We start the day after breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Our first stop will be Santa Claus Village. After the pleasant time and some shopping in Santa Claus Village, we will take the thermal clothes that we need during our stay in Lapland. After getting our thermal clothes, we will go to the Arctic Light Hotel where we will stay and check in to the hotel. Our dinner is at our hotel.
Day 3 / 8 March 2023 / Wednesday ROVANIEMI
Husky and Reindeer Safari, Snowmobile
After breakfast at the hotel, we put on our special clothes in the company of our safari guide and move to the Husky farm with snowmobiles. After our Husky safari experience, which will provide unforgettable moments, we are moving to the Reindeer Farm with snowmobiles. We will be greeted by Sami, the local people of Lapland, and after learning about the Sami culture and breeding of reindeer and learning the technique of riding sledges pulled by reindeer, we take a small tour with these sledges. We take our lunch at the Husky farm. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel. We have our dinner at Snowland Igloo Restaurant. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 4 / 9 March 2023 / Thursday ROVANIEMI
A Journey Through the Glaciers with the Icebreaker Ship
After breakfast at our hotel, we drive to the port city of Kemi, 1.5 hours away, by our private vehicle. After our arrival in Kemi, we have our lunch and then we sail on the Sampo Icebreaker Ship, which will be remembered as one of your unforgettable winter voyages among the ice in the North Bothnia Bay. In Europe’s largest icy area, our guests can swim in the icy sea with the special clothes to be given to them. At the end of the tour, our certificates will be given by the ship captain. Transfer to our hotel in Rovaniemi at the end of the tour.
Day 5 / 10 January 2023 / Friday ROVANIEMI – ISTANBUL
After breakfast at our hotel, we transfer to Rovaniemi Airport to return to Istanbul.
